I just re-recorded my Introduction to The Alchemy of Tarot Class that I taught live 2 days ago. There were tech issues with the screen jumping so I re-recorded it and just posted it on my YouTube Channel here-

Space.com has an article out about how the next 2 years all of the Solar Eclipses are Ring of Fire or Total!!! This is super rare and they termed it “The Golden Age of Solar Eclipses”.

What adds to the significance of the 2 years ahead that is initiated by this Eclipse TODAY is that we are heading into the Aquarius/Leo Eclipses. Today is the first of them and in ancient Egypt the Aquarius/Leo axis was considered to be very important as can be seen on the ceiling of Dendera. Aquarius and Leo are the 2 signs that precede the shift from Day to Night and Night to Day in the Cycle of the Ages.

Early this morning at 3:17am MST we had Mercury the Mind and Venus the Heart cojoin at 14’57 Aquarius- the degree of Solar Imbolc (from the Northern Hemisphere perspective).

Solar Imbolc is the midpoint between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox- between the Darkest of the Dark and the Resurrection of the Light. As such, Imbolc is the Gate of Emergence- where we start to see more Light and we know we are ever so slowly but surely emerging out of the Darkness of Winter.

If you have not heard my Age of Aquarius Horoscopes yet be sure to tune into them and then think about the Astrology today and overnight (any dreams you had overnight can be significant!). You can be getting messages from your Mind and your Heart about what wants to Emerge within you in regards to your personal contribution to the Age of Aquarius! Mercury and Venus will make their way to quincunx Retrograde Jupiter in Cancer tomorrow and Saturday- and next week they both will sextile Chiron and Eris in Aries. Emotions can be magnified by Jupiter in Cancer- but Aquarius prefers to detach and rise above. Finding the right balance between detachment and getting perspective- and actually FEELING what you feel without being consumed by it is key. With the links to Chiron and Eris next week we are supported in channeling our anger and rage into activism and taking action in ways that support awakening- rather than harm it.

I was having a conversation with a friend about what to do when horrible things are happening around us. Violence, shootings, killings- harm to our Earth and her precious resources- her air, water and soil. Standing up and speaking up is important but doing so from a place that contributes to healing and peace is key.

War consciousness is rampant on the planet- power over/power under, suppression and rebellion. This is the Karma of the Father Line playing out. Attacking or killing others we disagree with only happens when we have dehumanized the other. Dehumanization is the metaphorical Gateway drug to the eventual extinction of humanity. I know that sounds dire but it is the Truth. As long we parse people out into good people and evil people- we will justify killing, attacking and harming those we think are evil (and those we disagree with). And in doing this we are personally contributing to movement towards the extinction of humanity.

People like Martin Luther King Jr reminded us that ‘hate cannot drive out hate- only Love can do that’ and Ghandi reminded us that ‘we need to be the change we wish to see in the world’. Both of them were peace activists- not passive and checked out- but actively engaging the energies of peace, Love and Light and modeling it for humanity.

To do this we have to divest from ego- not kill the ego, as that is more war consciousness projected within. But we have to have the ego in the passenger seat- not the driver’s seat. Ego helps us take action in the world and can be wonderful in terms of protecting and holding our boundaries. But ego in the driver’s seat is a HUGE problem- personally and collectively.

I believe it is key to do Shadow Work in order to be an effective activist. Because if we are not dealing with our anger and rage, wounds and trauma- we project what is unconscious within onto the world without. And as we do this- the things we do that we think are us helping are in fact contributing to causing great harm.

An amazing book about this is Love & Rage by Lama Rod Owens. He talks about how when he was younger his activism was fueled by his rage and anger- but it was not until he dropped deeper into himself and got in touch with his immense grief and deep wounds that he realized he was using rage and anger to avoid the rest of his emotions and he was using these aggressive emotions to motivate him as an activist. The issue with not being conscious of what is driving us is that ‘until we make the unconscious conscious, it will direct our lives and we will call it fate’ (loosely quoting Carl Jung).

This is DEEP WORK- the shadow without mirrors the shadow within. As Jesus said in Bible “he who has not sinned can cast the first stone”. If all we do is make accusations from our armchair positions- meanwhile we are operating from ego and being violent or abusive to people in our lives, or online in comments to strangers, or even to ourselves (this is a BIG ONE)- then guess what? We are contributing to the very energy we are calling out. You cannot put out that kind of energy on one hand and then on other hand call for peace.

This is why the Hermetic maxim ‘As within, so without’ is stated. What is going on within projects without. What is going on without reflects what is going on within. If we want real and lasting change- we have to start at the Source!

This does not mean we do not take action- but when we do shadow work and work with our wounds and trauma the way we take action changes. No longer fueled by unprocessed rage- we take action from a place of knowing our own anger and rage intimately so we can hold and contain the flame of it and it becomes a lamp that lights the way, instead of a raging fire that burns the house or forest down.

All the Great Saints who understood the Truth that Life is illusion did not sit at home and just allow suffering- justifying that suffering was an illusion and people had to deal with their own karma. NO! They went out into the world to alleviate suffering - despite knowing that Suffering was an illusion! What a conundrum!!! They did this because they knew that until each of us fully awakened- we would not realize that we were living in illusion and the illusion we are in is very realistic and the suffering we experience feels real. So they came from a Higher Perspective awareness and yet operated on our level to help us.

This was a sacrifice born of the Heart- these beings (men, women and non-binary) were devotees of Quan Yin or the many other faces of this same Goddess who goes by many other names pending the culture you come from. She is the Goddess who hears the cries of humanity- and who has sworn to stay embodied, helping others until every last person has awakened.

The Secret is that Quan Yin embodies through each of us. She does not appear in the sky to save us- she appears in our awakened hearts. WE ARE THE EMBODIMENTS OF THE MOTHER.

I believe this is the Medicine the Age of Aquarius asks of us and we each have our own unique way of bringing it in and through. (Which the Horoscopes speak to!)

These are just my morning musings for Mercury conjunct Venus at the Gate of Emergence degree.

Let us all contribute to the Emergence of Love and Light we wish to see in the world.

We have both Neptune and Saturn moving into Aries for good in the next few weeks- as they make way to their conjunction at the Aries Point (0’45 Aries) on February 20th! Mars/Ares is the God of War and Bloodlust- but anciently he was a Sacred Protector and Defender of crops, the feminine and innocence. I think we need to reclaim and reignite that old idea of Mars- as the Divine Masculine that protects the earth, the feminine and children is what we need right now. We do not need the warmonger masculine or the masculine that dominates, controls, takes and rapes, extracts and conquers. As that old masculine archetype is destroying the earth!

In the Grail Myth the Fisher King is wounded in the groin or thigh- and his wound represents both a sexual wound (raping/taking from the feminine) as well as a wound of violence (war/weapons). Another wound that plagues the Wasteland of the Fisher King is that of Black Magic- the misuse of magical energies to take, control, dominate, extract from, feed off of and use. So the Grail Myth wounds are ones of sexuality, violence and black magic- Mars and Pluto wounds.

Lest we all think of the politicians we can think of that express this shadow- let us look at ourselves and see where we contribute to this energy on the planet. Where do we extract from each other and the Earth Herself, try to control and dominate, do things from a willful ego instead of from an open heart? If we want our leaders to change- we must do the work to change ourselves. As within, so without.

Neptune in Aries can be LOVE IN ACTION- if we choose to be the Love we wish to see in the world. People think this is a pipe dream or a passive stance- but Love is an ENERGY and is the MOST POWERFUL FORCE OF CREATION and when it is anchored into and amplified it has the power to Heal the Wasteland. Just like in the Grail Myth!

Taking and using is the shadow of Aries- which happens a lot in this AI social media age (it is also a shadow of Pluto in Aquarius). The article linked above is about Pluto at 29 Capricorn- which is over now as Pluto is officially in Aquarius for good. But the USA’s Progressed Pluto is at 29 Capricorn until 2050- so the content is still very valid for the United States of America who is at the forefront of the AI expansion right now.

The Astrology this week to be aware of is the Neptune ingress into Aries today at 10:34am MST, the Mars/Pluto conjunction at 3’34 Aquarius tomorrow at 4:01pm MST, and the Mercury/Venus conjunction at 14’57 Aquarius on Thursday with both quincunx Jupiter on Friday and Saturday. I will write something about the Mercury/Venus/Jupiter energies later in the week- so stay tuned!

A PERSONAL UPDATE FROM ME: this Pluto Portal week has been intense for my family. My daughter’s father got the bad flu going around so my daughter came to stay with me to try to avoid it and then she came down with it herself a day and a half later. I credit my parasite cleanse herbs, super healthy eating, and going to sleep by 9:30pm at night to get a solid 8-9 hours of sleep each night (what I do all the time- not just during flu season) as to why I have been able to stave it off so far.

Then yesterday our dog had a stroke! All 3 of us piled up in the car- with both of them coughing a lot- so I am hoping I still steer clear of the flu. I do think they are both not contagious at this point so I think I will be okay. But our Kenny boy is not doing well- and the Mars/Pluto conjunction tomorrow afternoon triggers 6th house stuff for all 3 of us- and the 6th house is the house of Pets. So please keep our Kenny boy in your prayers (Kenny pictured below). He is 12 years old- so not a spring chicken. We were at the Emergency Vet yesterday for 5 hours (which cost $1000!!!). Right now he is resting and some of the bad symptoms are subsiding but there are still symptoms that are concerning and I do not believe we will be out of the woods until after the Mars/Pluto conjunction tomorrow <3

I was going to get other content up today but because of what is going on with Kenny I am behind. I will post a blog I prepared last week and just had to edit later today.

I just wrote and posted a blog on my website about the MANY PLUTO CONJUNCTIONS happening starting tonight and going through Tuesday January 27th

Pluto is the Planet of Power. Shadow Pluto can devolve into power over/power under dynamics- but the Highest energy of Pluto expresses when we can let the ego take a backseat and let the Higher Self come fully in and through.

The Higher Self in the Driver’s Seat does not mean everything is always hunky-dory. The Higher Self understands that ‘Both Light and Shadow are the dance of Love’ (as Rumi states!).

What anchoring fully into the Higher Self means is that we see it all through the lens of Higher Perception- and it is from this place that we can see and understand that everything happens for a reason and even intensity can be medicinal when it is used for healing and awakening.

Now onto the Astrology!

We are in quite the Astrological Portal with every single Capricorn Planet- from Venus to the Sun to Mars to Mercury to the upcoming New Moon- squaring Chiron the Wounded Healer (January 11th, 12th, 13th, 15th and 18th respectively) and then squaring Eris the Goddess of Discord and Chaos (January 12th, 14th, 16th, 17th and 18th). All while there are tons of Mars conjunctions/triggers- notably the upcoming Mercury/Mars conjunction on January 18th at 26’03 Capricorn!

THIS IS TRIGGER HAPPY TERRITORY. Anger, Rage, suppression of both and then explosions of it coming out- are all possible. Capricorn is government and Aries is the people- we see that happening everywhere from Iran to the USA to Venezuela to Gaza and Israel and more. Aries is ruled by Mars and Capricorn is ruled by Saturn- the two Malefics (yes the root of that word is connected to the word Malevolent) are dominating right now!!!

When I see this kind of Astrology I call it DUCK & COVER Astrology. It’s a good time to pause, count to 10, and breathe before reacting. It’s a great time to cultivate the capacity to think about things first before saying or doing something that sets things into motion you cannot take back. And if you cannot do any of that- find a rock and hide under it until the Astrological Weather passes ;) I am only sort of kidding.

For those who hold back and have a hard time speaking up, taking action or self motivating- this Astrology can put a FIRE UNDER YOUR BUTT. Some of us need to learn to tone down toxic ego responses- others of us need to actually bolster healthy ego!

I had this happen this week actually- there was a situation that was really not okay. But I was defaulting to trying to understand where this person might be coming from- acknowledging their wounds and pain and what might cause them to act in this way. Fortunately I had a friend who reacted by EXPLODING and she began having a swearing fit telling me how it was NOT OKAY and she apparently went off on the person :-0 At first, I felt bad for this person who just got exploded on- but then like waking up out of a stupor- I saw the situation with new eyes and realized I was being too understanding in a situation that really required healthy anger, hard boundaries and a fierce NO. It’s amazing how you can work on things for decades (Boundary work and Anger Work is NOT new to me) and still can find new layers coming in to be tapped and explored. This was all unfolding during the Venus/Sun/Mercury/Mars squares to Chiron and Eris in Aries!!!

It is often not until Mars gets involved that we really see Astrological Themes activated in a BIG WAY. So the Mars Dates to pay attention to are Tuesday January 13th at 3:33pm MST (Mars square Chiron), Friday January 16th at 4:24am MST (Mars square Eris) which builds overnight TONIGHT, and Sunday January 18th at 12:40am MST with the Mercury/Mars conjunction that builds overnight Saturday. Add to this the New Moon Sunday at 12:52pm MST (more info coming with the Lunar Insight) and it is safe to say the BIGGEST PART of this Portal is only just incoming this weekend.

It is a great time to take action, have agency and express healthy anger- particularly if you are someone who is over empathetic and overly understanding of other’s pain. It’s also a great time to tone down toxic ego responses and work with anger and rage in embodied, somatic ways. Meaning deal with your anger- do not explode in it so that everyone around you takes the hit but also do not suppress it so much that your mental and physical health takes a hit. Sometimes anger comes in to tell us we need to say NO and walk away. If you keep finding some situation or relationship never changes and you are constantly triggered by someone’s unhealthy behavior and you have tried EVERYTHING but walking away, that may be the only remaining choice you have. Honest self checks in are key this week!

On the world stage there is Rebellion and Revolution in the air. But we want to make sure we are leading from the HEART. When I saw the first Chiron/Eris conjunction incoming last year- I wanted to offer a Masterclass on it called LOVE & RAGE. But then my own discord dissolution process and work hiatus took front and center in my life and I had to side table it.

We still have one more Chiron/Eris conjunction incoming this year (see my Intro to the Astrology of 2026 YouTube Video linked below for more info)- and it is SO SO SO IMPORTANT that we do not allow our Rage and Anger to come from or be controlled by Ego/Will or the disembodied Mind. IT MUST BE LED FROM THE HEART SPACE. Anger and Rage that is not guided by the heart becomes destructive, violent, abusive and toxic. Anger and Rage led by the heart becomes a FORCE FOR AWAKENING as it allows our Integrated Self (Love leading, Wisdom & Power following) to wield the Sword of Truth which cuts away illusion.

So easy goes it the rest of this week. Be aware and conscious. Pay attention when driving (tense Mars aspects are accident prone). Pay attention when speaking and acting- and find within yourself the ability to pause, count to 10, breathe- so you can respond rather than react. Or find a rock to hide under ;) This week is all Mars/Eris/Chiron/Aries/Capricorn energy. Next week it is ALL PLUTO! More on that next week ;)
