I just recorded Part Eight of my Sacred Pilgrimage Series.
I share my first full day in Le Puy revisiting the Eastern Black Madonna and the Black Druid Stone and visiting the ancient Diana Temple (today called Saint-Clair Chapel).
I also talk about Solar Lughnasadh as I was here for this High Holy Day. I explore the calendar version versus the true Solar alignment of Lughnasadh, the meaning behind this Harvest festival, and why Lughnasadh is the Gate of Sacrifice.
I also go deeply into the taking over of previous ancient sacred sites and the original meaning of the word pagan which started out as a slur word. I talk about the history of Le Puy- from Paleolithic to Neolithic, to the Celts, the Romans and then the Christians/Catholics.
I talk about the Karma of the Father Line- the vicious cycle of tyrant and victim, oppressor and oppressed, winners and losers- and how this can be seen in how religions take over each other. And I talk about why I feel a very ancient Divine Mother energy permeate the ancient lands of Le Puy (and why I think the Virgin Mary chose this place to appear!)
Finally I share my time at the Diana Temple (Saint-Clair)- the octagonal chapel with the Moon phases that evokes Templar and ancient Byzantine designs.
